Feather-tail Centipede (Alipes grandidieri)

Feather-tail centipedes (Alipes grandidieri) are a unique species of medium-sized centipede from east Africa. They get their name from their modified terminal legs which they will shake when threatened. Alipes should be kept moist with high humidity levels, they can desiccate quickly when kept dry for too long. 

Currently available specimens are field-collected sub-adults and adults.
