Ornate Harvestmen (Vonones ornata)

Ornate harvestmen (Vonones ornata) are small species of harvestman native to the southeastern United States. They are a very attractively patterned species and will even fluoresce under a blacklight like scorpions. They are fairly easy to care for and do well on moist substrates with lots of hiding spots and with springtails and fish flakes as a food source. Ornate harvestmen can live in large groups and, while delicate, are slow-moving and easy to handle making them a pet arachnid for those not comfortable with most "creepy-crawlies".

Currently available specimens are field-collected sub-adults/adults.
