Red-legged purseweb spider (Sphodros rufipes) are the largest member of the genus with adult females reaching 1". These impressive mygalomorphs, native to the southeastern United States, build long, tubular webs along the sides of trees and other solid structures. Sphodros are popular amongst primitive spider enthusiasts although they aren't commonly available and rufipes are no exception so don't miss out on these awesome spiders!
Currently available specimens are field-collected juveniles-adults.
