Regal Jumping Spider (Phidippus regius)

Everyone's favorite jumping spider! Regal jumping spiders (Phidippus regius) are a large jumping spider species from the southeastern United States.  These personable spiders have become a viral sensation over the past few years and thus have brought a lot of new people to the spider-keeping hobby. They are easy to care for and a great spider for all levels of invert enthusiast.

It is important for customers to understand what they are purchasing so please keeping the following in mind:

- The spiders sold through this listing are field-collected and I cannot make any guarantees about their age or remaining lifespan. 

- Jumping spiders are relatively short-lived to begin with, rarely living over a year from sling to adult, and their lifespan can be influenced by a variety factors such as temperature, feeding schedule, sex, etc.

- Occasionally a spider may be missing a leg. This is purely cosmetic and does not affect their health in anyway.

- This species is highly-variable in color and pattern. I will send what I have and cannot make any promises about colors/patterns. 

- Wild caught spiders may produce fertile eggsacs. Babies are delicate and time consuming to raise. I cannot guarantee that they will or won't be gravid.

- While these spiders are generally docile, they can still bite. Their venom is not considered dangerous to people but it is important to keep in mind that venom can effect everyone differently.
