Western black widows (Latrodectus hesperus), while only slightly less iconic than their southern counterpart (L. mactans), are still beautiful spiders that are synonymous with imagery of the American southwest. They can vary a bit in color displaying mottling of dark brown and black.
Currently available specimens are field-collected sub-adults/adults.
